Group Tours

The Great Stupa is located just outside of Bendigo, and is the largest Stupa being built in the Western world. It will be 50 metres high and 50 metres square at its base and is being built to last 1000 years.

Experience one of Victoria’s largest cultural attractions

On your visit you’ll learn about the past, present and future of The Great Stupa with an informative presentation. View our relics room and see many holy relics from other temples, monks and nuns. Be guided through our Peace Park and view our beautiful gardens and sculptures. Go inside The Great Stupa and be awed by our painted ceiling arch and The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace. At the end of your visit we encourage everyone to visit our gift shop.


We encourage visitors to return again and again, to see the progress of The Great Stupa and surrounds.

  • Pets are welcome inside and outside, we ask to keep your pet on a leash

Time for guided tours:

  • Weekdays – All day from 9am to 5pm
  • Weekends/Public Holidays – Every 45min from 10:30am to 5pm
  • Christmas Day – CLOSED

Please note that the last tour for the day will depart at 4pm daily

We recommend allowing at least 1.5hrs for your visit.


If anyone in your group has mobility issues, The Great Stupa can be accessed via mini bus/car. Please indicate this on the Group Booking Form and let your tour guide know. A disabled toilet is located inside the Exhibition Centre.

Food and Beverages:

Our StupaView Cafe offers barista coffees and drinks along with a range of cakes, hot food and focaccia’s.


Groups are also welcome to bring their own food and eat on site.
